Description
I have handmade this necklace with a beautiful piece of natural sea glass in a beautiful deep cobalt blue.
I have set it into a fine silver bezel and mounted it onto a sterling silver hoop which has been lightly hammered to give some texture and sparkle. I have also used 3 mm faceted lapis lazuli beads which are the same deep blue as the sea glass interspersed with silver faceted beads.
The size of the pendant is just under 1.5 cm wide and 2.5 cm in length. The necklace is 45 cm/18 inches in length and is fastened with a lobster clasp.
This piece of sea glass were found on the wild North East coast in the UK and will have been tumbling around for 10 or more years until they are beautifully smooth but with a very slight frosted finish.
This is a contemporary design but completely unique due to the originality of the sea glass.
